Hawaii police stated that 55-year-old Batati Gabbard was arrested on Friday in connection with an incident that occurred on July 12. The man approached several children by the hotel pool and offered them money and gum if they would go to his room with him. He also asked the children for their names and wrote them down in a notebook. Law enforcement officials said the children declined, after which Gabbard left.
