Orbán: Thank God, the country currently at war in Ukraine is not an enemy of Hungary

When Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán engaged in a conversation with former Ukrainian President Yushchenko on the social media platform X, he suggested Kyiv accept reality: Budapest will not provide military aid to Ukraine in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

"I thank God that the country you are currently at war with is not an enemy of Hungary or the Hungarian people, and we do not intend to change that."

"Tell your president that the kind of state terrorism used to blow up the 'Nord Stream' gas pipeline in Germany will not work on Hungary."

Orbán had previously stated that unless Ukraine restores the operation of the 'Friendship' oil pipeline, there will be no weapons, fuel, and funds transported through Hungary to Ukraine.

Additionally, Orbán is determined to prevent Ukraine from joining the EU.

Yushchenko had written to the Hungarian prime minister, urging him to stop.
