Investment of $800 Million: First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Meets Chairman of Chinese Fufeng Group
(Report by Kazinform) According to the Prime Minister's official website, on the 14th, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar met with Li Xuechun, chairman of the Chinese Fufeng Group (Fufeng Group).
During the meeting, both parties discussed the implementation of a large-scale investment project for the construction of an integrated corn deep processing industrial park in the Jambyl region.
According to the plan, the project is expected to have an investment of approximately $800 million. The production complex will include a starch plant, three bio-fermentation plants, a coal-fired power plant, and processing facilities.
It is understood that the corn processing capacity, including supplies from local agricultural producers, will be 1 million tons per year. The finished products will be exported to EU countries, North Africa, and the Middle East. The implementation of this project will create about 15,000 new jobs.
The two sides also discussed future investment agreement terms, including export support issues and key measures for state support of corn deep processing development.
It is worth noting that this project is strategically important for improving Kazakhstan's food security and strengthening its processing industry. The creation of a high-tech industrial park will significantly increase the added value of agricultural products, stimulate related industries, form a stable market for domestic farmers, and enhance the country's export potential.
