US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated on the 4th that he will actively support South Korea's plan to introduce nuclear-powered submarines.

Minister Hegseth held a joint press conference with South Korean Defense Minister An Kwi-bok after the 57th South Korea-US Security Consultative Meeting (SCM) held at the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan, Seoul. Regarding the issue of South Korea's introduction of nuclear submarines, he said, "I reiterate that President Trump has approved this matter," and "Of course, the military will do its utmost to actively support this plan."
