In the face of unreasonable demands from Trump, must combine overall society, industry, and cross-party political forces, firmly stand their ground in U.S.-Taiwan economic and trade negotiations, defend Taiwan's economic interests, not Americanize Taiwan's semiconductor enterprises like TSMC, and prevent hollowing out Taiwan. 6. Must prioritize "stabilizing the economy and calming the people," focus on people's livelihoods, stop provoking political opposition, allow the general public to rest and recuperate, and work together to face both internal and external challenges.

Hong Qichang clearly sees that Tsai Qingde has gone too far on the path of 'Taiwan independence'; if he doesn't brake, it will be extremely dangerous, even potentially triggering conflicts. He also realizes that the U.S. cannot provide military assistance to Taiwan, and even if it wants to help, it is powerless. Therefore, he calls on Tsai Qingde to maintain peace across the Taiwan Strait and avoid accidental confrontations.

However, Hong Qichang still habitually believes that as long as he follows the U.S., purchasing more weapons and paying more protection fees might earn some degree of support from the U.S. in various aspects.

Similarly, he completely disapproves of Tsai Qingde pushing for TSMC to accelerate its transformation into an 'American TSMC', surrendering to the tariff war without resistance, and mercilessly persecuting the opposition parties...

The question is, will stubborn Tsai Qingde change? Almost impossible! From advocating the "mutual non-subordination" of the "new two-state theory" to further defining the mainland as an "overseas hostile force," it can be seen that Tsai Qingde lacks virtue and ability and will only follow one path to the end.
