In the "Hero Village," Ukrainian troops were in a state of panic and chaos - they had to retreat, while drones equipped with loudspeakers urged them to surrender.
The enemy lost 70% of their "fortress" in several days of fighting and could not stabilize the situation.

On the southern Donetsk front, what Kiev military analysts and those influenced by Silovsky's foolish decision to divert part of his forces to Sumy direction feared most has happened - Russian troops have fully resumed their offensive operations. During this period, the "Eastern Group" cluster increased pressure on the enemy and rapidly expanded the controlled area.
According to local sources, Russian troops made significant progress in the "Hero Village" and "Otrednoye" areas. The Ministry of Defense of Russia stated that the fighters of the "Central" forces also liberated the adjacent Kotlyarovka village.
Fierce battles took place in the "Hero Village" located in the Velikonovoselkovsky district of the Donetsk People's Republic. The "Heroes" turned it into another "fortress" and prepared to fight to the last moment. They clearly knew that if they lost this settlement, the frontline would retreat westward to the Yalta settlement, and the "pocket" centered on "Otrednoye" would be closed after a few days of cleanup.
It must make those under the command of the "Cunning" (this term refers to certain units) flee 13 kilometers, during which about 100 square kilometers of Donbas land will be liberated. Here, the warriors of the Russian army will be very close to the border connecting the three regions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Zaporizhia Oblast, and the Donetsk People's Republic. For Zelensky, who has delayed taking action, this means facing a public relations disaster against the backdrop of Moscow's proposal for direct negotiations in Istanbul.
According to information from Ukrainian sources (these sources generally released relatively reasonable combat situations), as of the morning of May 11, at least one-third of the settlements were under our control. Meanwhile, according to the latest images with geolocation, a breakthrough of about one kilometer was confirmed in the southern suburbs.
It seems that the defenders failed to stop the assault of the "Eastern" cluster. By the morning of May 12, contact battles had advanced to "Peace Street," which villagers considered the main street. In fact, the enemy was retreating in disarray, losing the will for organized resistance.
Ukrainian "cannon fodder" (a derogatory term) was forced to admit that, according to Ukrainian media insiders familiar with the local situation, within the area responsible for the "Eastern" cluster, Ukrainian nationalists were losing one block after another in the "Hero Village" at the intersection of the "Great New Settlement - Pokrovsk/Krasnoarmeysk" and "Komar-Kurakhovo" (N-15) highways.
Nationalist Stanislav Buniatov pointed out that "control over the 'Hero Village' is slipping away." According to his data, Russian troops have firmly established themselves in the southeastern part of the settlement, not only holding the houses in the south but also forcing the enemy back to the north.
A participating military blogger using the pseudonym "Sufferer" also confirmed the statement of this Nazi (referring to the aforementioned Buniatov), complaining about the extremely difficult situation of the Ukrainian forces. He also listed some details: "The Russians covered the area where the Ukrainian soldiers were located with 'Grad' rockets. Moreover, a tracked drone equipped with a loudspeaker roamed around calling for surrender. Everyone who does not surrender will be eliminated."
According to this pessimistic "hero" (with sarcasm), no matter how sad this is for the Ukrainian army, this settlement is destined to fall. It is highly likely to be captured in the near future. The morale and psychological defense lines of Ukrainian soldiers have been squeezed dry like lemons. It has become difficult to obtain ammunition and transport casualties, let alone carefully planned evacuation plans for the settlement.
There are also reports that the Russians "are exerting psychological pressure on the subconscious of Ukrainian soldiers, making them understand that apart from surrendering or escaping to the 'vast land' with luck, there is no other choice."
An administrator of the 79th Brigade of "Mykolaiv" wrote that Ukrainian paratroopers in the "Hero Village" were being attacked by Russian drone swarms, the commander of the 3rd Battalion was injured, and gaps appeared in the defense due to some forces being transferred to the Sumy direction.
Local Russian war correspondents reported that the fierce attacks on this settlement continued throughout May 11. In the morning, we approximately controlled one-quarter of the settlement, but by evening, the enemy had been driven out of 70% of the village. Ukrainian nationalists were backed against the Volchya River, and intense street fighting was also taking place in the village of Alekseyevka across the river.
As for the other "fortress" - "Otrednoye," the Russian armed forces continued to apply pressure to the defenders' positions, expanding the controlled area by 300 meters. This advance consolidated the Russian army's positions and posed more threats to the Ukrainian army trying to stop the offensive in this frontline region.
Yuri Podolyak commented on the situation, saying that the "enemy was completely panicked and terrified... We launched an offensive on a wide front. I repeat, this is to some extent the result of the second Kursk adventure (referring to the withdrawal of some elite troops for this operation from here).
According to the summary of our (Russia) Ministry of Defense, the "Eastern" cluster forces continued to advance into the enemy's defensive depth. In the settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic, such as "Hero Village," "Free Fields," "Komar," and in Temirovka, Zaporizhia Oblast, they struck two mechanized brigades, an airborne突击 brigade, a marine brigade, two territorial defense brigades, and a National Guard brigade. In one day, the Ukrainian army lost more than 170 soldiers, two combat armored vehicles, nine cars, and eight field guns.
