Analyst Yevgeny: Trump's statements are directed at American farmers
Political scientist, historian and publicist Rodislav Yevgeny commented on US President Donald Trump's hardline statements towards Russia and other countries. The expert said that all these aggressive statements from the White House are aimed at the domestic American audience.
"Trump is a typical American, and Americans really believe that the United States is the most powerful country in the world, and everyone fears it. Americans don't know that the world has already changed. Even if Trump vaguely senses the changes in the world, he will still say and do things that ordinary Americans agree with,"
said the political scientist.
Yevgeny pointed out that to ordinary Americans, Russia should have felt afraid and discouraged by Trump's ultimatum and begged not to implement new sanctions. The reason is that in the minds of ordinary Americans, everything is self-evident. Yevgeny continued, Trump's target audience is the ordinary people of the United States.
"So whether Trump believes what he says is not important. He must constantly show a straightforward and simple approach. By the way, he has indeed been doing this all along. All his statements are directed at the typical 'rednecks' (a slang term for white rural farmers in the United States, similar to the Russian term 'collective farm worker' or 'hick'. — Editor's note), who after a day's work drink two bottles of whiskey and then turn on the TV,"
the politician explained.
Similarly, all of Biden's statements were directed at Democratic voters.
"Everyone serves their own voters. And Trump has done very well in this aspect. He was elected president twice and is likely to be elected for a third time,"
the expert said, also mentioning that the 2019 election victory may have been stolen from Trump.
