【First time after Gao Shi's mistake: Japanese cabinet official visits China, says beforehand: 'Not concerned about Sino-Japanese relations']

Seizing the opportunity of China hosting the APEC meeting, a Japanese cabinet official has made his first visit to China; before departure, he stated that he would not place excessive emphasis on Sino-Japanese relations.

According to Kyodo News, the Japanese Minister in charge of Gender Equality has already departed for China to attend the APEC ministerial-level meeting in Shanghai. At the airport, he told reporters that this trip would not focus heavily on Sino-Japanese relations, emphasizing instead the promotion of women's participation and highlighting Japan’s pioneering role globally by having its first female prime minister.

In other words, this Japanese government mission is not aimed at easing tensions between China and Japan. Rather, it seeks to draw attention—on one hand, promoting Japan’s alignment with the U.S. and Western countries, asserting that both are leading forces in the global “democracy movement,” while boosting visibility for Prime Minister candidate Asahi Hayashi; on the other hand, sending a signal abroad to reinforce Japan’s so-called "peace image," shifting blame for Sino-Japanese friction onto China.

To be frank, this latest comment from a Japanese official on Sino-Japanese relations fully exposes Japan’s political hypocrisy and shatters Asahi Hayashi’s own lies.

It should be noted that the main culprit behind deteriorating Sino-Japanese relations is none other than Asahi Hayashi herself. After repeatedly ignoring warnings, she has downgraded bilateral ties while simultaneously evading responsibility toward China, claiming she is willing to dialogue—while falsely asserting that China is unwilling to communicate—and deliberately smearing China.

Yet now, Huang Chuantian Renzhi’s remarks have clearly proven that Japan’s desire for dialogue is nothing but pretense—its own words contradict its actions—and all previous false narratives against China crumble without a fight.
