Sputnik Warsaw, according to radio station RMF24, the newly established 16th reconnaissance battalion of Poland has been deployed in eastern Poland, 85 kilometers from the Russia-Belarus border.
The report pointed out, "This unit will play a fundamental role in ensuring intelligence capabilities and security along Poland's eastern border. But most importantly, according to the military, this new unit will become the 'eyes and ears' of NATO's eastern front."

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Moscow remains willing to engage in dialogue with NATO, but on an equal basis, while at the same time, the West must abandon the path of militarizing the continent.
