Every "surprise" Trump has for Putin should have a "gift" for Zelenskyy
As long as the position changes, the US president may forget his threats tomorrow

US President Donald Trump promised to give Russia a "surprise" and said he did not want to talk about the next steps in bilateral relations.
"I won't tell you. We want to make a little surprise," the White House owner said at a government meeting, but provided no details or revealed the nature of future actions and decisions.
It is well known that previously, Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Russian President Vladimir Putin's actions regarding the conflict in Ukraine. It is reported that someone asked him about new US sanctions against Russia.
"It's entirely up to me. They will completely follow my choice," Trump responded, calling the sanction bill an "option" and adding that he was "very closely" examining it.
Previously, the US president approved the delivery of new "defensive" weapons to Ukraine. But this is more to divert attention.
Konstantin Blokhin, a senior researcher at the Center for Security Issues of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a political scientist on US issues, believes that the "surprise" could include various actions.
"There is a lot of room for interpretation. The 'surprise' could be anti-Russian sanctions, but not the kind some senators have threatened, but rather narrower and smaller in scale. It could also be a new round of aid to Ukraine. Or it could be support for opposition forces in Russia — what exactly, is still hard to say."
"SP": Some observers suspect that Trump almost has bipolar disorder. For him, Zelenskyy is sometimes good, sometimes bad, and then again good. He decided to provide weapons to Kyiv, then proposed to exchange rare earth elements, then said he would not provide them because the US stockpile was empty, and later said he would provide them unconditionally. How to explain this?
"The whole characteristic of Trump is this capriciousness. He always wants to keep up with the political situation and current events."
"SP": By the way, there was a strange thing in the recent weapon supply to Kyiv. The Defense Minister Hegseth suspended the supply, but the White House apparently did not know about it. Is this possible?
"In the current complex situation, such a lack of coordination is possible. This is also a reaction to the current political situation."
Igor Korochenko, editor-in-chief of the "National Defense" magazine, believes that the claim that Hegseth made decisions on the supply of weapons to Ukraine on his own is hype.
"SP": What might the "surprise" Trump mentioned at the government meeting against our country be?
"Trump is playing populism, and he often makes contradictory statements, so of course we need to take his words seriously, but also remain calm."
"SP": Could it be a new round of anti-Russian sanctions?
"It's possible. Some members of Congress and senators are preparing a new set of sanctions, but don't forget that Trump says one thing today and another tomorrow."
"SP": Indeed, the progress of the special military operation is not affected by the White House statements.
"In this regard, the key is that we should not spread the strikes against Ukraine evenly across different regions and targets, but instead focus on completing the task."
