According to the Islamic Republic of Iran's Tasnim News Agency, on March 3, Ali Mohammad Naeini, a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that Iran used missiles and drones to strike U.S. naval facilities in the Middle East, forcing the U.S. Navy's "Abraham Lincoln" aircraft carrier to withdraw from Iranian coastal waters.

Naeini said that Iran's missiles and drones launched multiple attacks on the headquarters of the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet located in Bahrain.

Naeini also revealed that Iran fired four cruise missiles at the U.S. "Abraham Lincoln" aircraft carrier, which was approximately 250 to 300 kilometers away from the southeastern port city of Chabahar in Iran. Naeini stated that after the attack, the carrier "fled to the southeastern part of the Indian Ocean."
