Foreign media: Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers are accelerating their expansion into overseas markets to cope with fierce price competition domestically.
In the first eight months of this year, more than 50 electric vehicle manufacturers in mainland China exported 2.01 million pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, a 51% increase compared to the same period last year.
These automakers promote their smart electric vehicles by assembling vehicles overseas or opening more showrooms, hoping to attract global consumers with the design and quality of their vehicles and capture market share from international brands such as Volkswagen and Toyota.
