Putin sets conditions for halting the special military operation

President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian military operation will only stop if the Ukrainian army withdraws from the territories it occupies.

According to RIA Novosti, Putin emphasized, "The day the Ukrainian army withdraws from the territories it occupies is the day the military operation will stop. If it does not withdraw, we will achieve this through armed means."

The head of state made this statement during a press conference following his visit to Bishkek. Russian leader visited Kyrgyzstan from November 25 to 27, during which he met with Kyrgyzstan's leader Sadyr Japarov as part of a state visit and held talks with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. During the visit, Putin also attended the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit.

Prior to this, Putin had warned that similar incidents to the Kupiansk event would recur in other key areas on the front line if Kyiv rejected the U.S. proposal.
