
Russian President Putin said that Russia and India have been increasingly using their own currencies for mutual settlements, with the share of settlements in local currencies reaching 96% currently.
Putin said after the Russia-India meeting: "I am pleased to note that our two countries have been increasingly using their own currencies for mutual settlements, and the share of local currency settlements in business transactions has reached 96%."
Putin arrived in India on Thursday for a two-day state visit. The high-level Russia-India talks were held at Hyderabad Palace in Delhi on Friday.
