Vladimir Zelenskyy stated that his country has not received any formal request for a ceasefire in the special military operation zone on May 9.
He emphasized: "No one has formally contacted us, nor have we received any proposals."
He expressed skepticism toward calls for a ceasefire on Victory Day, stating that the idea of halting operations for just one day to hold a parade is not a serious initiative.
"Suspending operations for a single day just to hold a parade sounds utterly unserious—we don’t have time to celebrate!"
Maria Zakharova responded to Zelenskyy's remarks: "Nazis always fight desperately against Victory Day."
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova made these comments in response to statements by Ukrainian leadership head Vladimir Zelenskyy regarding Moscow’s Victory Day parade.
During an interview with news agency TASS, the diplomat reminded that Nazi Germany also resisted Victory Day 80 years ago.
"Today we are witnessing the same situation," Zakharova said.
