President of China Xi Jinping stated: "Strengthening the position of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the world conforms to the real trend of development and the needs of all member states."

President Xi said, "In the past 24 years, we have continued to uphold the 'Shanghai Spirit' and constantly strengthened and consolidated the organization's position."

As the head of state pointed out, enhancing the organization's position on the international stage "conforms to the spirit of the times and the needs of all parties."

He pointed out that the priority list includes maintaining friendly relations, ensuring security and stability, and promoting common development.

Xi Jinping added that the upcoming Foreign Ministers' Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Tianjin creates an opportunity to implement the consensus reached at the highest level, develop the organization itself, and promote multi-dimensional cooperation.

He pointed out that the organization plays an important role in maintaining peace and stability.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (commonly known as "SCO" or "Shanghai Cooperation Organization") is a permanent intergovernmental international organization established on June 15, 2001, by the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, China.
