Sputnik News, Washington, October 30 - President of the United States Trump stated that the US is currently negotiating with Russia on nuclear disarmament issues. If there is positive progress, China may join.
Trump said on the presidential plane heading to Washington: "De-escalation and nuclear-free will be a great thing. In general, we are discussing this issue with Russia. If we make progress, China will also join."
Trump believes that the nuclear risk is not increasing, and still supports nuclear disarmament.
On October 29, US President Trump stated that he had ordered to conduct nuclear weapon tests "equally" with other countries that are reportedly having corresponding plans. Trump added on the Truth Social social media that this process will begin immediately.
Daryl Kimball, Executive Director of the Arms Control Association (ACA), told Sputnik News that there is no technical, military or political reason for the United States to restart nuclear weapon tests.
