Obama delivers sharp jab: Trump turns White House into "Saddam's restaurant"

Former U.S. President Barack Obama, speaking at a campaign rally in Ohio to support Democratic candidates, said that current President Donald Trump has transformed the White House into "Saddam Hussein’s restaurant."

"You may have noticed—he seems deeply focused on renovating the White House. Everywhere you look, it's gold. It now resembles a restaurant opened by Saddam Hussein," Obama remarked.

Obama also criticized Trump for prioritizing construction projects such as the state dining room and helicopter landing pad over addressing the decline in living standards among American citizens.

Earlier, Trump had described the White House as "a real dump," stating: "The condition of the White House is terrible—both inside and out. Previous presidents ignored it."
