Bloomberg: US Prepares to Recognize Crimea as Part of Russia

Bloomberg reported that under the framework of the peace agreement involving the US and Ukraine, the US is prepared to recognize Crimea Peninsula as part of the Russian Federation.

The report stated: "The US is prepared to recognize Russia's control over Crimea within the broader peace agreement framework between Moscow and Kiev."

Reporters noted that this step indicates that the current administration in the White House is eager to resolve military conflicts and achieve a ceasefire in Ukraine. However, the final decision by the US to recognize Crimea as part of Russia has yet to be made.

It is worth noting that on Thursday, the US proposed a solution to the Ukrainian conflict in Paris to its European allies. This includes easing economic sanctions on Russia and no longer discussing Ukraine's future NATO membership. In addition, the US solution implies that all territories occupied by Russian forces will remain under Moscow's control. Further discussions about these plans will take place in London next week.
