Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced on Friday that the Department of Justice is releasing more than three million documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, in fulfillment of the Department's obligations under a law passed by Congress last year. The newly released materials include 2,000 videos and 180,000 images, which were disclosed more than a month after the December deadline stipulated by the law. Trump had opposed releasing these materials for months, but eventually changed his stance after realizing he could not get enough votes to block the bill. Blanche refuted claims that the government deliberately delayed the release of the materials on Friday. He also told lawmakers that they can coordinate with the Department of Justice to review unredacted relevant materials.
