Sputnik News, Moscow, March 1 - The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that during a telephone conversation, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister pointed out that the practice of overthrowing the legitimate government elected by a sovereign state is unacceptable.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated, "On March 1, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with the Chinese Foreign Minister. Both sides particularly pointed out that the policy of overthrowing the legitimate government elected by a sovereign state is unacceptable."

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that during the telephone conversation, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and Chinese Foreign Minister expressed readiness to further work together to promote the stability of the situation in Iran.
