The EU has finally shown some backbone.

On April 9th local time, the EU's 27 member states voted and passed countermeasures against the US tariffs on steel and aluminum.

US President Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on EU goods and demanded that the EU must purchase $350 billion worth of goods from the United States. Trump thought the EU would submit to American pressure. But this time, the EU did not back down. All 27 member states unanimously decided to retaliate against the US. The EU is currently America's largest trading partner, and China and Canada are also among the most important trading partners of the US. They have all retaliated against the US tariff policy, and Trump's plan has failed again. When dealing with the US, there can be no compromise, or the US will only become more audacious.
