Foreign Media: China's Sovereign Wealth Fund - China Investment Corporation (CIC) has disclosed that its London representative office was officially registered in December 2024.
The London office is the third overseas institution of CIC, following branches in Hong Kong and New York. According to the annual report, the new office is responsible for promoting overseas investments, facilitating cross-border cooperation, and undertaking tasks such as communication, research, project screening, due diligence, and post-investment management.
CIC had long considered expanding its presence in London and has previously invested in projects such as Heathrow Airport, Canary Wharf office buildings, and Chiswick Park industrial park in the UK.
