England bans transgender women from playing women's football - effective June 1st.

The English Football Association has just updated the rules: if you are not biologically female, you cannot participate in women's football matches - regardless of your hormone levels.

They stated that this change is being implemented following a significant ruling by the UK Supreme Court, which clearly defines "female" as birth sex rather than gender identity.

The old policy allowed transgender women to participate in competitions when their testosterone levels were low - now there is a unified rule applicable to everyone, with no exceptions, no competition reviews, and no debates.

The English Football Association knows that some players may not like this change, but they call it a victory for "fairness" - and the update has entered athletes' inboxes, much like fitness membership reminders.

Scotland has not yet officially announced anything, but sources say they may follow England's lead.
