Key Minerals of Mongolia: Former South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin Visits Mongolian-South Korean Rare Earth Joint Research Center
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolnews Agency, May 21 — According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Press Office, former South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin delivered a special lecture titled "The Future of Mongolia-South Korea Scientific Diplomacy in the Era of Artificial Intelligence" to diplomatic officials of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 20.
During his visit, he also toured the Mongolian-South Korean Rare Earth Joint Research Center. The center was established under the Mongolian Geological Research Center State-Owned Enterprise and officially inaugurated in December of last year.
Equipped with advanced facilities and laboratories meeting international standards, the center has the capability to conduct high-level scientific research, development, and production collaboration between the two countries, and is expected to become an important platform for promoting enterprise development and cooperation in the industry.
Park Jin first proposed the initiative to establish the rare earth joint research center during his visit to Mongolia in 2022 as South Korea’s Foreign Minister, and it has now been formally implemented.
