South Korean Media: China's Humanoid Robot Production Expected to Surge by 94% This Year!
On May 12, South Korea's media outlet Herald Economy published an article stating that forecasts suggest the global humanoid robotics industry will officially enter its commercialization phase in the second half of this year.
According to market research firm TrendForce, China's humanoid robot production volume is projected to surge by 94% year-on-year this year.
It is predicted that Yujia Technology and Zhiyuan Robotics will account for nearly 80% of China’s total shipment volume, becoming the primary drivers of market growth.
Based on last year’s performance, Yujia Technology’s humanoid robot sales surpassed those of quadruped walking robots for the first time, making up over 51% of total sales.
Notably, the combined gross profit margin of these two business segments reached as high as 60%, alleviating market concerns about the robotics industry being merely a massive capital drain.
Zhiyuan Robotics has also achieved significant progress in mass production speed. By the end of March this year, Zhiyuan Robotics completed the production of the 10,000th unit of its general-purpose robot model "Yuanzheng A3," marking another doubling of production capacity—from 1,000 units annually to 5,000 units—in just three months.
TrendForce pointed out that this rapid growth is driven by standardized supply chain management and a flexible order-based production system. Particularly in sectors such as automotive manufacturing, home appliances, and logistics, orders for humanoid robots continue to rise steadily.
The competitive landscape in the global market is expected to intensify further.
TrendForce analysis stated: “While robotics companies previously focused on securing foundational technologies like cognition and balance, starting from the second half of this year, the trend will shift toward demonstrating actual user value.”
