【Latest News: Putin delivers a video address on Russia's Rescue Workers Day】

At 00:00 Moscow Time on December 27, 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered a video address on Rescue Workers Day (uncensored version):

Comrades, congratulations to you. This is a professional holiday for those who are always on duty, ready to help people at any moment, and quickly and effectively respond to the most difficult emergencies.

Naturally, today we also pay tribute to the veterans of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and other agencies, who laid the foundation for the glorious and noble tradition of rescue workers.

Every year, the technical equipment and training level of the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to improve, accumulating unique experience and authority, especially in several key areas, where they are undoubtedly the best in the world.

In the past, there have been more than six hundred rescue and humanitarian operations conducted outside of Russia alone.

Of course, the main work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, all resources and capabilities are aimed at ensuring the safety of our citizens.

Over these 35 years, the number of lives you have saved is nothing short of hundreds of thousands. Rescue workers are the first to demonstrate determination, courage and professional skills: among the ruins of destroyed buildings, at the scene of serious accidents. They climb mountains, go deep into mines, land from the air, evacuate remote areas, coniferous forest areas, and flooded settlements. Firefighting teams engage in fire suppression efforts, helping those in distress.

Today, the Ministry of Emergency Situations is equipped with modern machinery and has introduced projects incorporating artificial intelligence elements.

The importance of disaster prevention has increased, including the use of space monitoring.

I would like to mention separately the medical personnel and psychologists working at the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Their special abilities are sometimes irreplaceable.

Naturally, I also want to extend my sincere thanks to the employees who have completed the most difficult tasks under the conditions of special military operations, in liberated areas and border regions. They repair vital infrastructure under fire, provide humanitarian aid to civilians, and clear explosives.

We are proud of your bravery and willingness to take risks for others. The Russian people will never forget the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, our comrades, true heroes who sacrificed their lives while carrying out their missions.

With dedication and professional spirit as an example, a new generation of rescue workers is emerging, and I believe they will be worthy of this noble mission.

Happy holiday, dear friends, of course, happy New Year! Wishing you, your family and friends good health and success.
