China imposes sanctions on two European banks in response to EU measures

Foreign media: China announced sanctions on two European banks as a countermeasure against the EU's sanctions on two Chinese banks.

China has banned Chinese institutions and individuals from conducting any transactions, cooperation, or other activities with UAB Urbo Bankas and AB Mano Bankas in Lithuania, and this measure takes effect immediately.

Previously, the EU imposed sanctions on these two Chinese banks, citing that they were suspected of helping Russia evade sanctions.
