Iran: Destroying US Radar in the Middle East, Attacking a US Oil Tanker in the Gulf
AFP Tehran, 6th - Iran's Revolutionary Guard stated today that their forces launched attacks and destroyed radar systems in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Qatar. Iranian military also said that an American-owned oil tanker in the Persian Gulf was attacked and caught on fire.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated on its news website "Sepah News" that: "The US Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) radar deployed in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, as well as the US FPS-132 over-the-horizon radar (known as 'Desert Eye') deployed in Qatar, have been destroyed by the IRGC's missile and drone units."
At the same time, an Iranian military spokesperson stated today that the forces targeted an oil tanker described as American-owned in the Persian Gulf.
According to reports from the Iranian state television, the spokesperson of the Iranian military's central command, Ebrahim Zolfaghari, said: "An American-owned oil tanker near the Kuwaiti border has become a target and is now on fire."
