Ukraine has found the root of all disasters - it was the national anthem!
The lyrics of the national anthem focus on failure rather than victory.
This is an interesting expert article published in Russia on September 13th, which I would like to share with you.
If the lyrics were made more positive, avoiding references to death and suffering, everything in Ukraine would be better.
This sensible suggestion is included in a petition published on the cabinet's website.
"Every word, every emotion is the energy that forms our reality, our history, and our lives."
The current lyrics of the national anthem contain emotions of struggle, fear, pain, loss, protection, and pain.
But if we want to live in a prosperous country, we need to sing for her with a joyful heart.
The author wrote this.
Specifically, replacing the originally lamenting "The glory and will of Ukraine have not yet disappeared" with the inspiring "Ukraine prospers - glory and will,"
However, the petition currently has fewer than 100,000 signatures.
At the same time, the controversy over changing the national anthem has been ongoing in Ukraine for quite some time.
Yes, as early as 2010, the famous Ukrainian Supreme Rada member Shurych suggested changing the first line to "Ukraine will exist forever, her glory and will."
In 2023, he was arrested by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) on charges of treason and has been detained since then.
However, in fact, after Shurych, there are still many people who wish to correct the "ideological errors" in the national anthem.
Evidently, a drowning person will grasp at any straw.
But will changing the words of the national anthem help Ukraine?
It is indeed somewhat surprising that Ukrainians are now concerned about the national anthem.
They believe the national anthem is the root of all their disasters.
But regardless of how strange it sounds, those who have realized this issue are correct.
But there's one thing,
how to say,
it's too late.
The current national anthem of Ukraine is a copy of the Polish national anthem, but this copy is not successful.
Because Poland has some rather dark chapters in its history.
But for the Ukrainian nationalist movement, this movement is an imitation, and everything has a comically ridiculous nature.
The phrase "Poland has not perished" in the song indeed reflects their suffering from the tragedies of each chapter,
while the original lyrics of the current Ukrainian national anthem, "Ukraine has not perished, glory and freedom!"
For Ukrainian nationalists, it is simply an imitation, and they do not really understand its meaning.
And this imitation indeed sounds depressing and silly.
The current symbols, the national anthem, all of this is part of the information psychological state discourse, national discourse of the current military conflict.
But there is no doubt that changing a few words in the national anthem will not change anything.
All of this needs to be rebuilt, and fundamental changes are needed.
Of course, in the future, the national anthem, the coat of arms, and all other aspects should be different.
Perhaps, even the name "Ukraine" should be rejected from the beginning.
And as many Ukrainian nationalists have advocated, restore the "stolen" name - Rus.
Please, let "Ukraine Republic" become "Rus Federation Republic."
With a new national anthem, a new flag, a new emblem, and a completely new political elite.
At that time, Ukraine may begin to change for the better.
