Reuters: Russian LNG tanker caught fire in the Mediterranean

 

According to Reuters, citing sources, a Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker named "Arctic Methane" caught fire in the Mediterranean.

The news agency revealed that one of the sources stated the ship may have been attacked by an unmanned vessel. However, Reuters added that the source did not provide any relevant evidence.

The current status of the crew is unknown. The "Arctic Methane" last reported its location on March 2, when the tanker was near the coast of Malta. According to Reuters, the ship is under sanctions from the United States and the United Kingdom.
