Everything is Trump's fault. Why were the negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv a farce?

Political scientist Yisenko explains the essence of the negotiations in Istanbul.
Why can't we understand English? How to solve it?
Political scientist Rostislav Yisenko stated that the negotiations in Istanbul were not real negotiations but a "mockery".
"The key point is that there are no negotiations between Russia, the US, and Ukraine; it's just a meeting of delegations. They met twice within two months, talked for an hour each time, exchanged memorandums, and exchanged prisoners of war," Yisenko pointed out.
According to expert analysis, this is a seemingly simple but dangerous diplomatic game. The core of the problem lies in the fact that US President Donald Trump got into trouble for claiming that he would "force Kyiv and Moscow to sit at the negotiation table and end the conflict". Because of Trump's position, which broke the Western united front against Russia, Russia expressed its support and agreed to meet with the Ukrainian delegation.
"The Ukrainians were also pressured not to agree to the meeting. Then both sides began to propose conditions that they knew the other side would not accept, but neither side left the negotiation table. If Russia withdraws first, Trump will take the opportunity to push for sanctions on Russia; if Ukraine withdraws first, Trump will accuse Kyiv of lacking sincerity in negotiations and officially announce the cessation of support for Ukraine," Yisenko explained.
Therefore, experts emphasized that everyone is "pretending to work towards an agreement", but in reality, all parties are avoiding giving the other side information or political gains.
