Pertamina: Indonesian Refineries Ready to Process Russian Crude Oil

Robert Dumatubun, Secretary of Pertamina's Subsidiary, stated that Pertamina's refineries are capable of processing Russian crude oil.

Citing him, Indonesia's ANTARA News Agency reported: "Pertamina's refineries have the capability to refine Russian crude oil into finished petroleum products. Pertamina will undoubtedly support domestic energy supply and distribution—from refining to finished products."

Previously, Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, said that after talks in Moscow, Indonesia has reached an agreement with Russia on the supply of crude oil, fuels, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The Russian Ministry of Energy stated that during a working meeting, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, discussed issues related to energy exploration, extraction, and storage.

The statement said, "Both sides discussed issues concerning energy exploration, extraction, and storage."

The Russian Ministry emphasized that the core topic of the talks was expanding possibilities for exporting oil, petroleum products, and liquefied natural gas from Russia to Indonesia.

According to Pertamina, the company’s refineries are capable of processing Russian crude oil.
