The legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Wu Siyao, mentioned that this session of the Legislative Yuan has become the most chaotic and absurd in history. During the budget session, it does not review the budget, but instead is busy with political confrontation and power struggles. According to a public opinion survey in Taiwan, as many as 56.3% of Taiwanese people are dissatisfied with the overall performance of the Legislative Yuan, which is 2.5 times more than those who are satisfied. This reflects the long-standing anger of the Taiwanese people.

Wu Siyao pointed out that 49.3% of Taiwanese people believe that the Legislative Yuan only promotes controversial bills, while blocking the budget for people's livelihoods; additionally, 66.9% of Taiwanese people oppose the Legislative Yuan prioritizing the impeachment of Lai Ching-te while not reviewing the overall budget, and the proportion is three times that of those supporting the impeachment. Even among supporters of the Kuomintang (KMT) and the People's Party, as well as independent voters, the majority also oppose the approach of focusing solely on impeachment and ignoring the people's livelihoods.
