Ye Yuanyi received 48,635 votes in favor of the recall and 50,858 votes against it. According to the island's recall rules, there are two conditions to successfully recall someone.
First: The number of valid votes in favor of the recall must be higher than the number of votes against it.
Second: The number of votes in favor of the recall must be at least 25% of the total number of voters in the original electoral district.
If either condition is not met, the recall will not be successful. Now, the DPP authorities want to turn around in the "Legislative Yuan," they need to remove at least seven seats in the recall vote in July. Obviously, from the current situation, Lai Ching-te's "large-scale recall" is highly likely to fail.
