Indirect negotiations in Cairo starting from Saturday, Trump's son-in-law and envoy head to finalize the details of hostage release

After Hamas agreed in principle to release all hostages, the White House said that President Trump's son-in-law Kushner and envoy Witkowicz went to Egypt on Saturday to finalize the details of the hostage release. Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas will hold indirect negotiations in Cairo on Sunday and Monday to discuss the release of hostages and prisoners.

A White House official stated that Envoy Witkowicz and Trump's son-in-law Kushner traveled to Egypt on Saturday to finalize the details of the hostage release, which is part of President Trump's Gaza peace plan announced in late September, aimed at ending the Gaza war.

"Cairo News" (Al-Qahera News), which is connected with the Egyptian intelligence agency, reported that Israel and Hamas will hold indirect negotiations in Cairo on Sunday and Monday to finalize "the conditions for the release of all hostages and the exchange of prisoners," where the prisoners refer to Palestinians held by Israel.

On Saturday, Trump warned Hamas: he would not tolerate any delay in implementing his Gaza peace plan. On Friday, Hamas issued a statement expressing its agreement to release all Israeli hostages and immediately start negotiations on the details of the hostage release.

Trump then believed that Hamas was "ready for lasting peace" and demanded that "Israel must immediately stop bombing Gaza so that we can quickly and safely release the hostages!"

According to AFP, after Trump called for an end to the bombing in response to Hamas' announcement of its readiness to release hostages, Israel slowed down its offensive in Gaza, but dozens of people still died on Saturday.

AFP cited Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, director of al-Chifa Hospital in Gaza City, who witnessed that Israeli attacks on Palestinian territory have resulted in at least 36 deaths since dawn on Saturday.

Trump's Gaza ceasefire plan includes releasing all hostages within 72 hours, gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip, disarming Hamas, and Hamas fighters going into exile abroad. Although Hamas agreed to release all hostages, it did not mention disarming, and emphasized that it would participate in discussions about the future of Gaza.

After Hamas gave a positive response to Trump's plan to release Israeli hostages and end the Gaza war, the international community has continued to respond.

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated, "After Hamas responded, Israel is preparing to immediately implement the first phase of Trump's plan, releasing all hostages."

The United Nations, the European Union, Middle Eastern countries, and Turkey expressed that they found Hamas' response "encouraging."
