Foreign media: The US Department of Agriculture plans to send a group of American agricultural producers and exporters to China this autumn, first engaging with Chinese officials in Beijing, and then participating in the China International Import Expo held in Shanghai.

This will be the third consecutive year that the US sends a delegation to China. However, due to the tense Sino-US trade situation, China has continued to reduce its purchases of US products. Therefore, this trip carries a stronger sense of urgency and political significance.

The US will set up a "US Pavilion" covering an area of about 350 square meters at the import expo, showcasing food and agricultural products. Approximately 20 participants will take part, including representatives from state governments, agricultural associations, and export companies. In comparison, 14 US companies participated in 2024, and 17 in 2023. The scale of this year's participation is further expanded, indicating the US's hope to repair agricultural trade cooperation and stabilize bilateral relations.
