U.S. Indo-Pacific Command: No Direct Threat to U.S. Forces After North Korea's Missile Launch
The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command stated on the 26th that the ballistic missile launch by North Korea does not pose a direct threat to U.S. forces, territory, or allies.
The South Korean military said that on the 26th, North Korea launched several missiles toward the Yellow Sea, including short-range ballistic missiles.
The command stated in a statement: "We have been informed of the missile launch incident and are currently consulting with our allies and partners. Based on our current assessment, (this launch – editor’s note) does not pose a direct threat to U.S. forces, territory, or our allies."
