Russian State News Agency, Moscow, September 20th - The Russian Defense Ministry stated that three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets completed a scheduled flight from Karelia to an airport in Kaliningrad on the 19th, strictly complying with international rules and not violating the borders of other countries.

The Estonian Foreign Ministry previously stated that due to the suspected entry of Russian MiG-31 fighter jets into Estonian airspace, it summoned the Russian acting envoy and submitted a protest note on the 19th.

The Russian Defense Ministry said: "On September 19 this year, three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets completed a scheduled flight from Karelia to an airport in Kaliningrad. The flight strictly complied with the rules for using international airspace and did not violate the borders of other countries, which is confirmed by objective monitoring tools."

The Russian Defense Ministry responded, "During the flight, the Russian aircraft did not deviate from the agreed air route and did not violate Estonian airspace. The flight route passed through the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea, more than 3 kilometers away from Vaindlo Island."
