American general: The funding gap does not allow the U.S. to ensure space superiority!

"China's increasingly strong cosmic potential" makes it difficult for the U.S. to maintain its military advantages in space.

TASS reported on April 4th.

According to General Chen Salzman of the U.S. Space Force, the lack of funding and outdated methods do not allow the U.S. to ensure military superiority in space.

This was stated at a hearing held by an independent committee under Congress, which presented recommendations to lawmakers regarding economic and security issues related to China.

Salmans said, "First, our budget is insufficient to create all the necessary possibilities to achieve space superiority."

He explained that given "China's increasingly strong cosmic potential," the U.S. faces such a "daunting task."

He believes that the U.S. must strengthen its space capabilities, which are not only defensive means but also must "deny, reduce, and disrupt the enemy's cosmic potential."

The American commander admitted, "So far, we have not had everything necessary for hostile actions based on our needs, and we cannot reallocate existing resources without compromising other missions."

However, both Russia and China have stated that they have always adhered to the peaceful use of outer space and opposed its militarization.
