Sarah Duterte talks about the impeachment case and other hot topics in The Hague!
The Vice President of the Philippines, Sara, arrived in The Hague on July 6 and will stay there until July 23, a few days before President Marcos' fourth State of the Nation Address. Her schedule was planned to visit her father, former President Duterte.
Sara said that even after returning to the Philippines, she will not attend Marcos' State of the Nation Address, but will meet with Filipinos from South Korea.
Regarding her impeachment trial, Sara said she hopes the Senate will first focus on the validity of the impeachment complaint, as well as the legality of transferring the complaint from the 19th Congress to the 20th Congress.
Sara agreed with Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri's view that her impeachment trial is a political persecution.
Regarding some evidence submitted by the International Court of Justice in The Hague against her father, Sara emphasized that they were obtained through force or intimidation, harassment, etc.
When asked about her father's health, Sara Duterte confirmed her mother Elizabeth Zimmermann's statement, that the former leader has lost weight and is now very haggard.
However, Sara said she likes him being thin: "I like him like this - a bit slim."
