Sebastian Gorka, the White House's counterterrorism director under President Trump, hinted that the administration views two of President Trump's most vocal critics—Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes—as potential left-wing threats.
Last week, the White House released its National Counterterrorism Strategy, listing "drug-trafficking terrorists and transnational gangs, heritage Islamic terrorists, and violent left-wing extremists, including anarchists and antifa members" as America's three most pressing terrorist threats.
The inclusion of "violent left-wing extremists" comes as no surprise, given that the strategy was released following three failed assassination attempts against Trump and the public execution of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, and it also follows Trump’s National Security Presidential Memorandum NPSM-7, which designated "anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity" as potential markers for "violent and terrorist activities."
The report makes no mention of right-wing terrorism. However, Gorka’s low-key remarks last week suggest that some of President Trump’s former allies are now seen as national security threats.
Carlson, Owens, and Nick Fuentes were all included in a list of ten “anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist” influencers published by Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs in April.
