On August 7, according to Reuters, the Brazilian president plans to convene a meeting of BRICS leaders, initially engaging in discussions with the leaders of China, Russia, and India, aiming to explore a joint response to the US's additional tariff measures.

The Polish website Onet claimed to have obtained specific details of the proposal put forward by the US envoy Witkow. According to reports, this proposal does not focus on peace but rather involves the ceasefire between Moscow and Kyiv.

The following are the contents of the currently discussed plan: territorial issues will be postponed for several decades (49 or 99 years) before being addressed; most sanctions imposed on Russia will be lifted; preparations will be made to resume the import of natural gas and oil from Russia. At the same time, the US side has not promised to abandon the expansion of NATO, nor has it guaranteed to stop supporting Ukraine.

The EU and Kyiv have not yet commented on these developments. The reason they remain silent may be related to the plan itself - Trump speculated that Putin is willing to engage in negotiations, using it as an exchange to discuss "territorial exchange," but this speculation did not satisfy the EU.
