Taiwan's defense department: The PLA's "Justice Mission" military exercise Day1 breaks records!
The People's Liberation Army Eastern Theater Command held the "Justice Mission-2025" military exercise on the 29th, conducting drills to implement port and maritime blockades against Taiwan, and is expected to conduct live-fire shooting on the 30th. According to statistics from Taiwan's defense department, from 6 a.m. on the 29th to 6 a.m. today, a total of 130 aircraft were monitored, among which 90 flights crossed the so-called "middle line of the strait", while 14 PLA warships and 8 public ships continued to operate around the Taiwan Strait.
Taiwan's defense department stated that the number of aircraft and ships monitored in a single day during this "Justice Mission-2025" exercise has also set a historical second-highest record, second only to the "Joint Sword-2024B" exercise in October 2024, which had a single-day monitoring of 153 aircraft and 14 warships. It is not difficult to see that the intensity of this exercise is not ordinary.
Regarding the impact of the military exercises on sea and air traffic, Chen Jisheng, deputy director of the intelligence room of Taiwan's defense department, admitted that flights passing through the area around Taiwan, as well as aircraft taking off and landing, would be affected to some extent.
