Secretary of State Rubio: The United States hopes to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue without war, but reserves the right to use force.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that President Donald Trump's administration tends to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue through diplomatic channels but is prepared to take stronger measures if necessary to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

In an interview with The Free Press website, Rubio said, "We do not want war. The president has clearly stated that he is not prepared for war. Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons, and Trump retains the right to prevent this from happening if necessary."

He said that the U.S. still expects to reach a solution through negotiations.

Rubio emphasized, "The president wants to avoid the use of force, whether by us or any other party. We hope to solve this problem at the negotiating table."
