Dear Customers:
Hello! We believe you have already learned that ASMI Netherlands has unilaterally decided to stop supplying wafers to the packaging and testing factory (ATGD) located in Dongguan as of October 26, 2025. In the letter to customers, ASMI Netherlands claimed that this move is a direct consequence of "the local management recently failing to comply with the agreed contractual payment terms." This statement is misleading and highly deceptive, and we are extremely shocked and strongly opposed to it. Here, we solemnly state the following:
1. The so-called "local management recently failing to comply with the agreed contractual payment terms" by ASMI Netherlands is entirely baseless, a malicious smear against the management of Advantech China. There is no breach of contract by Advantech China; on the contrary, ASMI Netherlands currently owes ATGD 1 billion RMB in outstanding payments.
2. The relevant management personnel of ASMI Netherlands have seriously neglected their duties during the decision-making process, placing personal interests above the overall interests of the company, which seriously violates professional ethics and corporate governance requirements. The losses caused to the company and its employees should be legally held accountable.
3. The unilateral decision by ASMI Netherlands to cease supply completely disregards customer interests, seriously violates the contract and principles of commercial cooperation, severely undermines customer trust, and is an extremely irresponsible act.
4. Currently, Advantech China has sufficient inventory of finished products and work-in-progress, which can stably and continuously meet the order demands of our customers until the end of the year and even longer, ensuring a safe and reliable supply chain. To ensure the long-term and resilient supply, we have actively launched multiple contingency plans and are accelerating the verification of new wafer capacity. We are confident that we will complete the verification in a short time and seamlessly meet all customer demands starting next year.
As a century-old brand, Advantech's achievements today would not have been possible without the trust and support of our customers. Advantech China values the trust placed in us by our customers and always puts customer interests first. The unilateral decision by ASMI Netherlands to stop supplying will not change our commitment to product quality and fulfilling customer promises. Advantech China will continue to maintain timely and transparent communication with our customers, and we ask our customers to continue to give Advantech China their trust and support.

Regarding the issue of the Dutch government's occupation of Advantech Semiconductor leading to chip "supply interruption," on November 1, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce of China stated that the improper intervention of the Dutch government into corporate internal affairs has caused chaos in the global supply chain. As a responsible major country, China fully considers the safety and stability of domestic and international supply chains and welcomes enterprises encountering actual difficulties to promptly contact the Ministry of Commerce or local commerce authorities. We will comprehensively consider the actual situation of the enterprise and grant exemptions for exports that meet the conditions.
On October 21, Minister of Commerce Wang Wen Tao pointed out that regarding the issue of Advantech Semiconductor, the Chinese government firmly opposes the generalization of the concept of "national security" and hopes that the European side will play an important constructive role, urging the Dutch side to adhere to the spirit of contract and market principles, and to put forward a proper solution as soon as possible from the perspective of maintaining the safety and stability of the global supply chain.
