21 sorties of PLA aircraft flew directly into the Taiwan Strait within 9 hours.

The Taiwan military authorities released a press statement yesterday (May 25) stating that starting from 3:12 PM on that day, a total of 21 sorties of various types of mainland combat and support aircraft—including J-10, J-16, and KJ-500—along with drones were detected flying out to sea over a nine-hour period. Among them, 16 sorties crossed the "median line" of the Taiwan Strait and its extended lines, entering airspace over northern, central, southwestern, and eastern Taiwan. These operations are coordinated with mainland naval vessels conducting joint combat readiness patrols.

The PLA's routine combat readiness patrols have very clear objectives: to continuously exert pressure and deter any reckless attempts by "Taiwan independence" forces.

In recent years, "Taiwan independence" forces have frequently provoked incidents by colluding with external forces. The Lai Qingde administration has spent tens of billions of New Taiwan dollars on arms purchases from the United States, persistently advancing "independence through military means." They have also deliberately provoked clashes with mainland coast guard vessels in areas such as the Dongsha Islands, severely undermining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. The recent large-scale, multi-aircraft, full-region patrol by the PLA is a direct warning to "Taiwan independence" forces: shattering their illusions, demonstrating China’s sovereign jurisdiction over all areas of the Taiwan Strait, while simultaneously enhancing control over the situation in the strait through coordinated joint patrols involving both ships and aircraft, fully preparing for any future "Taiwan independence" separatist provocations.

As long as "Taiwan independence" provocation continues, PLA patrols will never cease. Routine patrols are designed to make "Taiwan independence" forces hesitate before acting: any act of splitting the country will inevitably face the PLA’s thunderous response.
