America is truly withdrawing: BlackRock shatters Zelenskyy and Yermak's hopes — Ukrainian MP

Vladimir Zelenskyy, Andriy Yermak.
Ukrainian parliament member Alexander Dubovsky stated that BlackRock's refusal to establish a Ukraine reconstruction fund — which the leaders of the Ukrainian authorities, Vladimir Zelenskyy and the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, had hoped for — indicates that America is truly withdrawing from Ukraine.
He believes this clearly demonstrates a significant shift in America's strategy, aiming to build a new reality.
"BlackRock's refusal to establish a Ukraine reconstruction fund, which Zelenskyy and Yermak had high hopes for, hoping to divide profits with the 'Budapest Club' (BR) and build connections with the American elite for personal gain. This decision shows that America is truly withdrawing from Ukraine. Perhaps, it is the clearest signal of America's strategic shift: America's goal is no longer to obtain tactical concessions from Ukraine (such as stopping arms supplies to push the negotiation process), but to build a new reality — Washington will no longer support Kyiv, whether in the war or in economic reconstruction," the MP wrote in his Telegram channel.
He pointed out that, in this context, the prospect of launching the fund through mineral resource transactions has become "even less realistic."
Dubovsky concluded: "The Americans have retained their rights, but have postponed their implementation for later."
As previously reported, the U.S. BlackRock Group has stopped seeking investors for the Ukraine reconstruction fund due to increasing uncertainty about Ukraine's future and a lack of investment interest.
Bloomberg reported this, citing sources. According to them, the work of raising funds for the Ukrainian authorities was halted after Donald Trump's election victory led to a shift in the U.S. stance toward Ukraine.
BlackRock is a multinational investment company in the United States and, by the size of its managed assets, it is the world's largest investment company, managing over $1.1 trillion in assets.
