Breaking News | According to Iranian media reports, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) special forces in southern Iran's Khuzestan Province have engaged in their first clash with U.S. military special forces involved in rescue operations.

Previously reported, U.S. helicopters opened fire on an Iranian military convoy en route to the suspected crash site of a downed U.S. pilot.

On April 3, Iran's air defense systems shot down a U.S. F-15E aircraft (some sources say F-35), resulting in two pilots going missing. In response, the U.S. dispatched helicopters and special forces into southern Khuzestan Province, Iran, for search and rescue missions.
