American 'The National Interest' magazine reported on October 8 that U.S. Army special forces units are preparing for potential conflicts with Russia, with NATO personnel also involved.
The report said: "This summer, U.S. Army 'Green Beret' special forces collaborated with European special forces to prepare for potential conflicts with Russia. In two independent exercises, Army special forces soldiers conducted joint operations with Polish and British special operations forces."
According to the magazine, the exercises were held in Poland and in Colorado, USA. During the exercise in Poland, participants used CH-47 helicopters to practice soldier delivery and evacuation. During the exercise in Colorado, they simulated raids, occupation, and clearance of potential targets.
Russian 'Izvestia' reported that the British 'Financial Times' reported on October 9 that NATO is considering holding military exercises near the Russian border. The report emphasized that operational plans for remote and unguarded areas would be practiced within the framework of the exercises.
